I have been making art for as long as I can remember. As a young child, I remember filling the walls of my room with a quilt of drawings that I had taped together and hung up. At 13, I began painting with acrylics, and in high school I discovered that I had a natural inclination for colored pencils. I have always loved the challenge of drawing with a simple ballpoint pen and learning to embrace my “mistakes.”

Over the past 15 years, I have explored various watercolor mediums, screen printing, fine art printmaking, embroidery, ceramics, sculpting, and most recently, bookbinding. I am self-taught in acrylic painting and studied several of the mediums listed above at Mt. San Antonio Community College in Southern California. My life feels more whole when I stay creative, and I know that having the space and encouragement to learn and make art is a form of wealth beyond words.

I currently work on an organic vegetable farm, and prior to farming, I worked in various childcare settings over the course of seven years. These settings ranged from elementary schools to private nannying. I am always in awe of the natural creativity and imagination of children and find that caring for them brings me great joy and inspiration, as children are some of our greatest teachers.
